16gal low tec planted

Posted this in the apc contest, not much to some of the tanks but I'm proud of it.
I have a low tec and a high tec and, this one is doing the best at the moment, although a lot slower.

Juwel record 60ltr/16gal,
15watts standard juwel tube,
Ehiem's aquaball filter with spray bar mod,
Silver sand substrate,
Bogwood, slate, alfogrog and a terracotta pot cave,
5ml of seachem flourish once a week,
Just started adding N/P once a week at PO4 1ppm and NO3 3ppm (i know its not at the ideal levels but i don't want to put to much in and get algae), to see i can improve the growth on a few of the plants, although the java moss and fern and abulias are growing like mad.

I'm looking for ideas to improve it.
This is where I'm up to, the front i have some Hydrocotyle verticillata which i want to spread forward left and right, so it leads into the java carpet
I'm after something to put in the right corner to fill the space, i was think of a crypto of some sort.
Also i'm thinking of replacing the sword, for what i don't know.

[S]All comment and suggestions welcome[/S]

Maybe there is something you can do on the photography side of it. The tank seems overexposed and the colors don't seem like they should.

Agreed with both comments, over exposure and it's a great low tech tank! Try to find the +/- exp mode, and take it to like -1.0 this helped me, and also try setting the camera on something steady, it's hard to get a "still" shot with that low of exposure!

Tank-wise, I'd definitely suggest getting crypts rather than swords, I just think they are more pleasing to the eye!

Had a mess round with the settings this is one of the best at exp -1.0, a big improvment.

Any comments welcome

Looking good, definitaly a low-tech to be proud of.

The picture seems alittle under exposed now, lol . I am trying to work on my photography skills too. I think your closer than I am at this point.

What if you put an anubias in the middle of the java moss on the left side of the tank. I think I will try that on my tank.

How long has this tank been set up? Keep us posted.

Thanks fishwhisperer....... il keep playing, i had it balanced on a piece of wood to keep it still, i,m going to borrow my step dads tripod and mess some more lol.

Its one of my favourite bits is the moss on the left, i like the way it sort of sprays out, there's already is a anubias on some wood close to the surface to the back of the moss.

How's this a better pic that's at exposure -2.0.

I,ve had a bit of a move around, I've spread the cryptos out, added a new piece of wood with java moss.
I'm thinking of covering the front in a java moss carpet, and putting a big piece of wood on the right hand side something about twice the height of the one that there.

any comments welcome
