15 Long

Set this tank up a couple weeks ago, seems like the plants are starting to settle in

The only issue is im using DIY co2 and its getting real hard to regulate but im doing my best to try and regulate it with new mixtures every week or two. Some of the plants are a little brown on the bottom half but then greener on the top half, not really sure what the reason for this is (probably lack of consistent co2). Also I'm using a 50/50 light as of now but looking into getting a 10K

Am I ready for a trim?

I would reccommend get co2 tubing for your DIY setup (unless you already have it, it just doesn't appear to be it as the co2 tubing is usually more opaque) as I used regular tubing for about 6 monthes and then began to notice a strange film on the top of my water whenever i used to tubing. I switched to co2 tubing and the problem has gone away. just something to consider as this means that the tubing deteriorates over time as CO2 forms carbonic acid

I really like the feeling of those rocks, especially against the grass backdrop. I can't help but think of how badass that would look against a lighter substrate, like a tan sand.
