Talking Rocking-Fish!

Okay... I finally found it... the pic of the rocking horse fish tank I made for my mother
(who is a rocking-horse collector).

My mom has a betta (who is pretty docile as bettas go) and 3 neons in it.

Also... the lighthouse to the right is a face-plate that fits in front of the filter
on the side of another 2.5 gal tank that I made for my Aunt... the hood looks
like a cottage roof and fits with the lighthouse that has a nightlight for the
light and both have 6in flouresent lights in the hoods.

For those who didn't see my fireplace in my previous house... Here it is again:

LOL!! I love it For the fireplace one I would have put fake 'fire' in I made a faux fire for my friends house *his chimney flute was stuck closed*. We used three small box fans (like in computers), attached them to a wood frame *painted black* and put multiple layers of THIN fabric colored red, yellow, and orange that were attached to a three thin dowels. The dowels were suspended over the fans (w/craft cloth to keep the fabric out of the fans) and the fabric was cut into 'flame' like paterns. Red in the front, orange in the middle, and yellow in the back (aranged by hieght too). When the fans were running the 'flames' would go upright and wave around. We used little led lights up inside the chimney (hidden from view) to make the flames look bright. Looked REALLY cool. Especialy at night!

Thanks for the comments!

We used three small box fans...

Yea... that is exactly like what I wanted to do with the fireplace lighting. As it was you could see the logs that I shaved thin and placed special flickering light bulbs inbetween and behind the logs.

The upper black panel flipped up to access the top of the tank and the glass doors (that look like they would open in the middle) acctually opened out on the sides to access the filters and pumps. I also placed styrafoam in the flu to keep out chills and had a heater on the side next to the filter box. A bit latter than this picture, I added bubble wands to each corner that really added to the looks.

I wish I could find a better picture of the lighthouse tank... it was so cute.

Makes me wonder what strange tanks other people have.

LOL! Yea, if you look real close you can see a blocking board behind the front rocker that keeps it from rocking... (since my mom's cat desided to try it out as soon as we set it up.. luckily it wasn't filled yet.)

Thanks. I love to do craft stuff... I think my next project will be working out an all-in-tank salt water set up.
