trckrunrmike's tank

20 gallon high tank.
Filtration: Rena Filstar XP1
Substrate: Onyx
CO2: Pressurized
Ferts: EI method
Lighting: 65wt Coralife CP fixture (3 WPG)
Flora: Rotala sp. Green, Eleocharis parvula, Glossostigma elatinoides, Ludwigia arcuata, Micranthemum umbrosum, Myriophyllum mattogrossense, Myriophyllum propinquum?
Fauna: Neon Tetras, Otos, Red Cherry Shrimp

Sorry for the lack of much plant matter, I just pruned it.

Comments: Ludwigia arcuata is green when it should be a deep red. Myriophyllum mattogrossense grew 4 inches in 1 day before, very freaky, must have been the Excel overdose. This tank is in its 5th month of being planted. At first I only grew glosso and dwarf hairgrass then switched over to stems. Plants that did not survive in my tank are Tonina sp. 'Belem' and Didiplis diandra. I want to change the layout of my tank soon.

Nice beginnings, Mike. The hairgrass looks very healthy. Since you are going to be changing your layout, I suggest a more asymetrical aquascape. Strange how the human eye battles the brain. My brain says "make it even", and my eye says, "the brain is an idiot". This hobby is 2X harder for a right-brainer.

Your neons school. Very cool. They always scattered erratically in my tanks, so I stopped keeping them.

Ted

Tell me about it!! I can solve a "diabolical" level sudoku puzzle in about 1/2 an hour, but can't landscape my house or tanks worth a damn.
