My 60g Planted

Well here's a pic...Tell me what you think

The only planted I've seen with Black Moon sand...I think it looks great

Fish: Angels, congo tetra, school of serpaes
Plants: Crinum bulbs, amazon sword, compacta sword, chain sword, and some more.....

Hope you like it

looks great!

75 gallon, fillstar xp2 with inline reactor, 12 Lb pressurised co2, 4.2 WPG-corallife 3x96 watt PC-, fluorite/silica-sand substright.

Your tank is really nice. Your right the Black moon sand does look rather good.

Sharp contrast, surferguy! That is a look I'm partial to, as well . Which company manufactures that sand, and where did you purchase it? Tank looks very nice for being so young. What is that intensely red thing peaking through the back (middle)?

It's CaribSea Tahitian Moon Sand from the LFS, where I happen to work...

the red thing is a red-eye reducer built on the camera, I couldn't get it out of the picture

I know this is an old post, well really old post, but it was through a search for a planted tank using Tahitian Moon Sand that led me here to this forum.. How would you keep plants in the sand? I keep hearing that sand is bad to plant in b/c they don't stay in.
