My 130 litre planted tank

Here is a pic of my tank, all comments welcome. This is my first planted tank and has been setup for about 4 months, it used to house Lake Tang. cichlids. Not really aquascaped, I just added plants in the spaces.

Plants are;

Vallisneria Torta
Corkscrew Vallis
Hygrophilia Polysperma
Hygrophilia Difformis
Cryptocoryne Undulatus
Cryptocoryne Walkeri
Cryptocoryne Ciliata
Ludwigia Repens
Rotala Macaranda
Java Fern Wendelov
Anubias Barteri Nana
Pygmy Chain Sword (I think)

Fish are;

Laetacara Curviceps
Apistogramma Cacatuoides "Orange Flash"
Dutch Ram
Dicrossus Filamentosus
Rummy Nosed Tetras
Ottocinclus
Bristlenose Ancistrus
Corydoras
SAE
Tiger Nerite snails

I have 80 watts of light (Lifeglo and Floraglo), DIY CO2 and fert twice a week with Flourish. The substrate is a sand and fine gravel mix with root tabs.

Your plants are looking very good! Is that background some kind of textured rock or something?

Also, great group of fish you have in there. I've never heard of "Dutch Rams", do you have another name or a link or something?

The tank is made by Juwel and the background is also made by Juwel but will fit any tank. The background is a black textured polystyrene that you buy in sheets and cut to fit.

The Dutch Ram is papiliochromis ramirezi which is your standard Ram but these are bred in Holland and are supposed to be better quality that the ones bred in the Far East.

I have now added 6 Beckfordi Pencilfish from my 60 litre tank. I also bought 6 Amano shrimp yesterday that are now in the 60 litre tank. Unfortunately this morning I found one of the shrimp dried out on the floor, I will have to do something to stop any other wanderers.

What are the chances of the Amano's surviving in the 130 litre tank with the fish I have?

I've heard rams can be pretty harsh on shrimp. Dunno about your other species. BTW, where did you get the dutch ram? Mail order?

Did you buy the background at a local hardware supply shop? Or was that purchased online somewhere?

I got the Ram from my LFS. This is a very common fish in the UK. The background can be ordered online in the UK not sure about the US but do a search for "Juwel structured background" and see what comes up.
