It's a monster...

I know... when you're new to this addiction and try to get a few plants to grow, and they won't, you don't really understand others complaining about plants "taking over" and "growing too much".

Anyway... lately I noticed that my 100 gal tank seemed darker than usual. The T5's are still bright, it just seems there is no light getting through anymore.

A few months ago, I got a few sprigs of Bolbitis from Momotaro. I stuck them somewhere in the back, and recently there has been quite a few leaves sticking out here and there.

So to battle the darkness, I decided to pull most of the Bolbitis out and see how that changes things... Well, quite surprised about how much of that stuff actually came out of the tank!

To give a another idea, this is how big these leaves get:

Tank looks much friendlier now without that monster...

Wow i didn't know they can get THAT big!

i know what you mean about the light though. I didn't trim my 100 for about a month before i moved it and all the plant mass brought my 400 watts of light down to what seemed like a night light.
