I vowed to stay on top of this tank to try and make the scape last as long as I could. I trim every week where it needs it. And, I constantly search for algae so I can remove it before it gets out of hand. As for the leggy monsters, I had to remove a few bunches of plants where the bottom roots were just getting way out of hand and algae was starting to develop after large trims.

I am still learning trying to get the hang of trimming and develop methods that work best for me, so we will see how this tank develops

Tank looks GREAT!!!!

How do you have the wood attached in the back of the tank, as it looks like it is hanging down?

You have got the plants shaped up nicely! The right side is my favorite, but I bet the left side will get there with the new plants you added!

What kind of fish do you have in it?

Keep up the GREAT WORK!!!

Thank you, the wood on the right in the back is one big piece and it supports itself by curving into the middle of the tank.

I have 2 checkerboard cichlid,
3 SAE
7 Oto
2 Ember tetra
10 Pseudomugil gertrudae
14 b. urophthalmoides
2 ABNP
4 Khuli loaches
1 blue neon goby
5 amano shrimp
10+ cherry shrimp

I really like how you have scaped this tank, and the variety of colors! At first, I really liked the fullness of it, but I like it more now that it is a little more bare in the middle.

+1

Cheers

I literally love my aquarium(s).

Wow its been a while TPT but this tank is still going strong after 3 years+ I took all of the hardscape out because it was getting eaten up by the plants.

This pic was taken a week ago before the haircut.

And this is the after.

Today. A week later from ^^

Ill try and post all of the in between pics when I can.
