Great color on the Alteranthera and Ludwigia! Are you dosing nitrates? The Ludwigia tells me you probably aren't keeping NO3 up, but if there's no algae, you might as well stick to whatever you're doing. My ludwigia used to be like that but I was getting to much hair/thread algae.

How often do you trim the riccia?

[I responded to your HC question in the other thread]

Yes, im dosing KNO3 but I have lowered my dosing since a month or so ago due to the same problem (hair/thread algae) I haven't seen it ever since I did this dosing & plus excel (I only dose 5 ml every other day for my 20g). Don't know if the excel or that dosing regiment that cleared my algae. I have to do an experiment & see which one does work. As far as trimming riccia it will be my first time as I have keep my riccia flooting around before I decided I try the stone riccia & put some on driftwood.
