My free 3 gallon journal ** UPDATE 8-29**( 56K ...eh maybe )

ok so i finally got it today and man does it need alot of work. for the time being its real simple and kinda dingie looking. needs some better lighting, and im working on it. plus it need some time to grow in and we'll be good to go. Anyway, heres what it looks like when i got it...

And after soem trimming of the beastly growing machine of a 5 gallon i have, some rocks and wood, this is what i have thus far..

Excuse the floating driftwood, its been soaking for like 2 weeks and doesnt want to do down. So it needs some time to grow and try to live, here are the specs

Ecplise System 3
little tiny dull 6500K T5
Sand substarte
Plants include some green hygro, rotola indica, java fern and a couple of crypt wenditi ( i thihk they are )
Fish are 3 glo lites and 3 porckchop rasboras
About 2 ghost shrimp...might be more i dunno

PLease leave comments and they'll be more in a week..

It's coming together hun. Might just be me, but the fish look a little big for it. I'd toss them in the 55, and do just a shrimp tank with it myself. They make the tank look smaller then it is. And it's pretty small. Once everything starts to grow in, it will look a lil better. Might wanna vaccum the sand. Looks kinda chunky. Other then that, looks better then it did. LOL, talk to me in a few weeks for a real compliment.

Update time.

Got some new lighting on the tank. used a task light we had laying around and i took the ecplise hood apart and made a ledge for the lgiht to be hung from, then used some super strong velcro to attach it. Bulb is a 13 watt 4100K compact flouresent. its neat cause not only is it bright, it has an external ballast thats about 6 feet down the power cord, so i can keep it cool. so heres the fixture..

So now that i have all that lighting, its time to show the tank off again. looks soooo much better now.

And both my planted tanks chillin against the wall...
