Well I finally got some balls to post a picture of my tank. I like criticism especially because it's my first time. Here are the specs:
Coralife Aqualight 96 watt x 1
60lbs Eco-Complete and about 10 lbs black gravel to add a little height
Fluval 204 filled with poly floss stuff
Pressurized CO2 at about 3 bps
Plants (I'm too lazy to write the scientific names):
Ludwigia Arcuata (I think)
Anacharis (Just in there for fun, it's not planted)
2 Rummynose Tetras
2 male guppies
Butload of Amano shrimp
Wood x 1
Not Yet. Well a little at first but I just increased CO2.
Spent a lot
PH: ~6.8 (you know how those cheap testers are)
All the other stuff: didn't test for it, but plants are growing, no algae, I win!
Traces: CSM+B and Mg 3ml 3x a week
KNO3: 1/2 tsp
K2SO4: 1/2 tsp
I don't really test at all. I just use Chuck Gadd's calculator and look at how the plants are growing and how many fish I kill. I do consistantly test pH though just to make sure.
I'd like to know what you think so far. Actually it's a pretty piss poor first attempt but you know how your first time goes, I was just really excited to add plants and I really didn't think about where they should go. Oh yeah the anacharis shouldn't be there, its just floating with plant weights.
EDIT: I forgot, this picture is 3 weeks after setup.
