Talking my aquascape needs some improvement

Hi, here are my two aquascapes, would appreciate suggestions for improvement. I think shifting the focal point might help, comments?

My 18g'er:

My 10g'er

just got back after a 3 week trip to this.
Hint: Watch the swapping space.....

I would start with a good trimming, and then reevaluate. There is so much greenery in that tank, I can't even tell what is in there. It looks like you took a cross section of a southern lake with weed issues and put it into an aquarium. That is incredible man!

That's pretty funny.

Okay. Step 1: buy a pair of scissors . Step 2: Don't be afraid to use them. Step 3:...

Post back when we can see beyond the first three inches of the tank!!

I just showed my girl the pics and she said WTF is that!!!!. LOL

I second BSSs advice. Make sure someone else in the room with you while you go after that beast or it might swallow you up too.
Those 2 fish in the first pic look like they're screaming for HELP.

heh! yeah I can see the rage in the fishies eyes.
BSS,m.lemay, Scissors in hand I stared long and hard, hesitant sparks traveled from my motor cortex down my spinal cord and into my limbs but they didnt move, my life flashed by my eyes and then it dawned.... I tossed the scissors, donned a pair of gloves and started yanking..... after pics coming up...

You should sell the plants...

Maybe you could start your own retail store and compete with the big boys. I don't know what kinds of plants you have in there, but I am sure that you have enough to make a small fortune.

Here are the after pics, the fish are all original inhabitants. I just moved the female ram and female rainbow from the 10g to the 18g and moved all the shrimps from my other 10g to this 10g. The fish look happy. Check my thread on the swap section, and you will see what came out of these 2 dinky little tanks. 3 weeks of growth, co2 was supplied but absolutely no fertilization. No fish losses! Lost L. Aromatica, R. Wallichi, E. Stellata and E. Stellata BL. You can see the blyxa, where the heck did all these come from!!! The big mass in the 10g was a huge mass of hair algae, strangely enough the plants are relatively free of algae (?!), its like all the algae bundled up into this mass. The 18g had no algae.

18G (4 neons, 1 rasbora, 2 angels, 2 otos, 1 ram and 1 threadfin rainbow)

10G (10 cherry shrimps, 2 bamboos and 1 oto)

Sorry about the pics not showing up, the server goes down a few times due to maintainence, but it is online most of the time.
