help me pick a pic

hi guys, i want to enter a local community photo contest, but i can only submit 1 photo. now, here are my best 3 and im not sure which one to choose!

"the contest is for the best looking fish."

1) the otto is one of my favorite shots, but is it the "best looking fish"? i think not.
2) the group shot is a very nice pic imo, nice detail on teh cory, but hte other fish are too distracting. but then again, are the judges judging on photography presentation, or the actual fish?
3) my apisto (which is no longer with me ) is one of my prettiest fish. but the pic is a bit too dark, but once again. photography vs fish
4) maybe im just thinking too much into it, thats why i want you guys to choose for me. which photo i should enter into the contest.

I really like all three, but for a contest winner, I think #2 is the best choice.

#1 - head-on fish, doesn't really show fish

#2 - my choice out of the 3 - just wish that SAE or FF wasn't there.

#3 - would have been my choice, but the plant looks like it is part of the dorsal fin

Honestly, I think your avatar is better than any of those. Not that they aren't nice pictures themselves.

I like #3 because it has the best focus on "the fish". And on the photographic side, there is good centering and I like the effect of the background plant.

#1 has good focus, but you don't have the best angle on the oto.

#2 is a little too distracting with all the outside fish

My thoughts exactly! That is a great shot and could well be an award winner!
