Joe's 10g (56k?)

Hey guys, this is my 10g planted tank. It's nothing really sophisticated or fancy, just something cobbled together with all the odds'n'ends most fishkeepers tend to accumulate over time. It's been running for over a year.

-Generic 10g tank
-20lb Eco-Complete
-Whisper Jr. HOB set on mid-flow using the Imagine Bio3 media holder w/blue bonded filter material
-El-cheapo 50w radiant heater
-Hagen bubble-ladder w/2 diy soda bottles
-DrsFS 2x36w CF fixture of which only one 36w socket works. The other conked out after less than a year use.
-Black matboard background
-2x Driftwood

-1x Dwarf Puffer
-1x Otocinclus
-3x Bronze Corydoras
-4x Kuhli Loaches
-6x Cardinal Tetras
-15x Amano Shrimps
-100+ Cherry Shrimps (At last attempted count)

And yes, that is alot of livestock in a small aquarium, but you wouldn't know it by looking in the tank.

I don't have much time to constantly prune the plants so they're pretty much all slow-growing plants. They seem to do well with twice a week dose of ferts. I've been using the SeaChem products which work well.

A male Dwarf Puffer that keeps the Cherry Shrimp population down in the tank. It did a fairly good job of clearing up most of the FW limpets and stray blackworms hiding in the substrate. It doesn't seem to bother any of the other inhabitants except for an occasional CS.

This is one of the female Bronze Cories that I raised from egg. There is one other female and one male that keep it company.

I also have a 60g Cichlid tank. I just want to post a few fish photos if noone minds. I've been deciding to whether or not to add plants to this tank. Since it's not a dedicated planted tank I've been holding off. There is a total of four Honduran Redpoints and seven Clown Loaches in the 60g.

Well at least I don't have to worry about adding plants to my 29g Reef tank.

Here is couple of photos of one of my male Honduran Redpoint.

Dominant male in breeding colors.

Rival HRP male in breeding colors.

They're attached to a piece of driftwood with black thread. They've finally become firmly attached to the wood and I don't have to worry about them becoming detached when one of the fish zips in and about through the leaves.

Great looking and healthy plants!! But most if not all plants you have should be placed in a larger tank.

A very large tank. You should have seen the last time I had to trim the plants. I threw out more than what I decided to leave in the tank.

Cryptoheros 'Honduran Redpoint', Central American Cichlid. Purchased them from Tangled Up In Cichlids online as F1 juveniles.
