Home-built 38G Forest Aquascape

Hey Guys/Girls!
Fairly New to this forum.
Not very new to aquascaping. Ive decided to have a 4th tank.
10g, 15g, 40g and now.. found a few glass at home and built a 38gallons.
After looking up the 2011 winners of the Internationnal aquascaping contest, I had this idea.. making an underwater forest.
Comments ideas, all is very welcome !!

Well here is Day 1
Still no fish, but the plants and decor are all in.
Apologies for the cloudy water.. pure soil is hard not to mess up with the water. (will update also once its clear !!)

Thanks guys, I'm also quite excited to have it clear up to see what it looks like without all the floating soil.. Might take up to a week *fingers crossed*

Looks very nice. Looks like a forest when the sun is setting.

Cool, but how on earth are you going to keep the soil settled?

Like any bottom of fresh water river. As long as I dont create massive waves, its going to stay clear. My filter doesn't disrupt the soil. Actually this idea was given to me by a friend of mine that did somewhat of the same. Took soil from the river, and a few fish from there. A week later, the water was crystal clear.
Call it an experiment. Let's wait and see..

That's pretty sweet.

I actually like how it's looking right now with the debris. Kind of looks apocalyptic or like there's a forest fire spreading.

Yes it does look very evil currently. That's cuz like with all my tanks, in the back, right before the background (which is black here) i put a spot light, adding depth to the aquatic illusion.
