Planted 238.1G (Discus)

Hello all!

Im looking for more information and advices for my project..
First of all, i have to explain that my english isnt good enought; im from Rio de Janeiro/Brazil.

Well.. lets talk about planted tanks

Im working on my project for +- 3 months. Its not a little tank, well it has 238.1G (900 liters) and it going to be a Disco's tank (idk if ppl here will understand Disco (this is how spell it in portuguese).. So, correct me if im typing wrong.

SETUP:
Dimensions (cm): 245x61x60
Lightning: 12x T5 HO 54W (648W in total)
Filter:
SUMP (31,7G)

I made this SUMP 2 months ago.. its working fine.
I'm using 2l Sera Siporax, 3l Ista Quartzite Glass and 300ml of Purigen.
Pumps: Va 4900 ViaAqua (5000l/h) + SB2000 (2000l/h) .... 7000l/h in total
Heating: 1400W in total controlled by Termostate Coel Tlz 11
Cooling: 20 Coolers 80x80 (Rio de Janeiro isnt cold enought..
The termostate is set to let the temperature on 82║F (28║C)
CO2: 4KG (8.81 Pounds) cylinder

with solenoid valve working on Timer's command.
Substrate:
20KG (44.04 pounds) of Substrato Especia Amaz˘nia MBREDA (brazilian one; very good)
plus 50kg (110.23 pounds) of black resined sand (inert)

I put some plants that i'll move to my bigger tank (the project of this topic) as soon as i do it.
So with this temporally plants its looking like this..

This little tank is a communitary fishes.. very simple (low tech)

Awesome looking stand.

Really great for making it yourself.

If everything else is done with such high quality you should have a lot of success.

Disco = Discus in English. Your English is very good by the way.

Very nice tank! It's interesting that you're going to be using a cooler. Is it really that warm in Rio de Janeiro? Most people here have to use heaters since discus prefer temps between 80-86.

Well.. summer is really hot!
Sometimes i had to put an ice cube in water cuz it was 93,2F
I wasnt at home and when i checked the temperature :O my only option was it...

For approximately 2300 sq in of surface area, you will only need ~150 lbs of substrate?!

I like the electric panel. It has some mid-century modern looks going on.

I'm trying to make a tank for "emergency" (24G) that i'll put under the big one. But the store sent me with wrong size So, more time to wait..
Btw i received my 6 reators 2x T5 54w yesterday!

Hello all... lets update the progress..

I made a new tank for quarentine.. it has lateral sump and i hope its work sucessfully...





I found some trunks for my main project:





And got 2 new bottons fish: (that i put on my other tank until i finnish the main one..)



I also got some surface fishes for my "little planted tank" (120 L):





I bought these pinks cuz my wife... So they are the news one.

Nice, can't wait to see the tank, the sump and stand are looking really good. Here Disco is a type of music or a place you go to dance, but if you were talking fish we would figure it out sooner or later.
