Kiran's Wabi-Kusa esque type emmersed nano bowl thing

Today was a marvelous day, a different type of day, an extremely, overwhelmingly happy day -- for today, there was no homework to be seen

So to celebrate, I decided I wanted to throw together a little wabi-kusa type thing for my desk. So I had this bowl, got some sand from outside, got some organic soil, made a ball of it, wrapped it in HC and held it all down with fishing line, and collected a bunch of plants from gardens outside in my backyard. Everything is wild except for the HC. Oh, and a tiny tiny bit of glosso on there. So without further ado:

Questions, comments, suggestions, etc. welcome, in fact begged, of you

That's the best paper weight I've seen in a while. And a really nice bowl.

Thanks Moe! It's a nice little stone that struck me as particularly neat from a beach on 17 Mile Drive in Monterey.

I think my desk is sufficiently relaxing now, but all it needs is that MacBook Air.

Thanks Kev. Glad to be a kid. First time I've said that in a long time

Absolutely. Love having a piece of Cali on my desk. Caribbean this summer, so lame. I told my parents to just fly me off to SF separately and stay with some family, it'd save them a good bit. But no, apparently cruises are "family vacations" for all of us. So no job at AFA this summer

family vacations bite. AFA rules. You obviously have your priorities straight...

I went to AFA last summer and it was amazing. Everything I wanted it to be.

Oh yes. AFA is... amazing. Hand me 10K before I walk in, I can guarantee you I would find a way to spend it all. In one hour. Then 200 extra for checking extra bags

Agreed. I carried a tank on the plane home as carry-on. My wife thought I was crazy and refused to hold the box when we were in the airport if I needed to get something out of my pocket.

lol. I didn't get my tank while I was there, even I would have thought myself crazy to spend $100 on just the glass tank at the time, but I bought some high quality plants which they professionally packaged and neatly (and compactly) boxed up for me in my suitcase. All the HC in the top part of my Mini S is from those original 2 pots' growth of HC from AFA almost a year ago.
