Lighting: Flouresent 13 Watts
Fertilizer: Flourish

Nice tank BC. It'll look great once the plants fill in.Somehow your arrangement make it look bigger than 5G. Keep us updated.

Thanks for all the positive feedback!

Anyways, I woke up this morning to find I only have 3 neon tetras left (from an original 5, 1 died the moment I put him into the tank) and 1 of the remaining three has a disease on its head. Additionally I found two dead shrimp but the rest seemed to have cleaned them up. I don't think the tank is causing these deaths (well hopefully not), what do you think?

Sorry, but don't have any test kits yet, so it's hard to judge anything...

I had a prob like this before... actually twice. When a fish dies upon contact with water its prob PH shock. (imagine dropping someone in acid... owwwwwwwwwwww) another cause can be high nitrite or nitrate (i had this prob even though my 20gal is understocked and FULL of plants. get a PH test kit and a nitrate test kit to give you an idea. your fish prob are stressed for somereason too. Take your water to the LFS they will do a full water test for free. then let us know the results.

UPDATE:

WEEK 5

Changes:

-Plants: Removed 1 Red Melon, Replanted Rotala Indica as single stems (regrowing in the back fairly well), added crypt and a crypt spirallis

-Fish: 1 Neon Tetra left, added 4 fancy guppies from outside breedery (2 snakeskins and 2 leopards)

-Misc: Leveled the gravel and created upward slope going toward the rear. Repositioned some river rocks and java ferns.
