Alk's 7.8 gallon planted, shrimp tank

Hey every one im new here and new to planted tanks.

and to the good stuff lol

well for christmas my gf gave me a little Fluval Ebi nano shrimp tank, i set it up about a week ago and am cycling at the moment. I am planning on getting some low light plants that are easy to care for, also i am planning on adding cherry shrimp and maybe a few peaceful fish. what i do need help with would be what type of plants to add since i have never cared for aquatic plants before, so any recommendations would be great. Well here are some pics of the tank cycling lol

Java ferns and mosses would be a good start.

mini pelia, mini xmas, weeping moss, you just have to get the conditions right for a moss to grow low.

Good amount of light, good flow = happy moss.

Nothing Ventured. Nothing Gained.

Did an advanced searched for members in California and got this. Perhaps you can find someone on the list to sell you some plants.

Then there is Petco.

Star moss is not a true aquatic plant.
