Billys Playground

Hi,
I have 4 brothers & a sister. Yesterday my oldest brother died :-(
Although he was mentally ill, he is whom I attribute my love for art.
As a kid he was as a good looking guy, that the kids in the neighborhood looked up to. He was my idol. Then a terrible thing happened because of way to much LSD and my brother went away in more than one way for over 10 years. For all but the last two months I was the one who communicated with him, because he trusted me. He was on a lot of meds & always said he had been to the coconut farm with a lot of other nuts.

I am telling this story for two reasons. The first being that there are many people we all see every day on the streets, people that need help. Yet we as a society banish them. The next time you see someone like I describe remember that someone loves them, a brother, a mother, father, or maybe an old friend. You might think about just saying "hi" or a simple smile, maybe even give them that extra buck in your pocket.

As a kid I would watch him for hours doing what he did best Art.I so wished that I would be able to draw, sketch and build as he did. At this he was brilliant and his troubles would leave him alone & this is where he got his peace.

I am dedicating a tank that I have been working really hard on because i think it will be my best yet. I dub this tank "Billy's playground"". It is not done but that is OK ...its ART & it will change as does everything else...
May you rest in peace

Regards,
Aquaticz

Thanks Clmia22 I expect the tank will look great in a month or so.....
Yesterday I filled the tank and of course the driftwood is floating this AM. This tank will be a low light tank, This will be my first experience with Aqua Soil. I bought a 2217 for an exsiting tank that has a 2213 on it & will put the 2213 on Billy's Playground".
I even got the fish yesterday, they will reside in another tank until the new one is cycled and the ammonia levels are zero. Glad I had a few gift certificates this hobby is expensive

Regards,
Aquaticz

Sorry to hear of your brother's passing, no matter what the circumstance, it's never easy to lose a loved one.

I think a living tribute to him is a wonderful way to remember his life. Eager to watch what you'll do with this set up.

Here is an updated pic

The fish joined the playground over the weekend shortly after the Gardner did his thing.
I am really liking a black tank. The light fixture was delivered and I am having trouble deciding how to suspend or mount it. So I made it temporary until I get a better idea.
have a great week

Set up looks really good and I agree with Dogfish, +1 on the fish selection.
