Djscotty's 36 Bow Front journal UPDATE 01/01/2012

Tank - 36 Gallong Bow
Substrate - MGOPS and Black Diamond
Lighting - 30" T5NO dual bulb X 2
Filter - AC 70

Getting started with MGOPS

Today 11/22/2011 final planting done with Crispino Ramos package.

All plants bought from Swap N Shop
Also, there are about 5 tetras in the tank and will be adding the rest in a couple of days.

Let me know what you guys think? Any thoughts or suggestions, much appreciated.

You should move your taller stem plants to the back and bring some of the shorter plants to the front. Based on what I got from Crispino myself i'm assuming a fair amount of the plants you got from him are going to require co2. Do you have any plans for that yet? 3 DIY sugar/yeast 2 Liters should hold you over til you go pressurized.

Bought the tank from petsmart. With sale and rebates it was 119.00. I already had 30" lights so I wanted to find the biggest tank foot print I could. I have a African featherfin that was supposed to go in my 100 gallon but our loft would not allow. I wanted to get the largest tank we could get for him that they would allow.

Co2 will be a last resort because we do not have the space for it. I will be dosing with excel every other day as per recommendations or if need be daily. I also have rootmedic ferts.

but i would put the taller stems behing the wood.

nice set up. Those driftwoods are great.
Give it another week or two and it would turn out more foliage.
