Talking Mike's 55gal Iwagumi First-Timer

Hey there!

Figured I would finally start a thread now that I have my rocks in place. Everything has been a lot of fun so far, and I am getting far too excited about ordering some plants! Special thanks goes out to PC1 for the stones, he did an awesome job in selecting my keystone. Another shoutout to Nilocg for supplying me with the MTS that forms the basis of this tank. Without further ado, here she is. Please folks, if you like what you see leave a comment! If you don't like what you see, leave a comment. I am definitely in need of the constructive criticism, and want to know what you guys think. With all the beautiful tanks on here, I know you guys can steer me in the right direction to make this tank even more beautiful.

Equipment:
Fluval 305 - Filter Floss, Bio Balls, and Purigen
17mm Lily Pipes
Hydor ETH 300w Inline Heater
Atomic Co2 inline diffuser: via GLA
5lb co2 tank
4 T5HO bulbs, a total of 216w of light.
Cal Aqua Labs double drop checker.

And now, the pictures. How'd the stonework turn out? I think it went pretty dang good, but I'm hoping someone out there can give me a hand with it. Oh, and sorry for the dirty glass and horrible pictures. I'm no good with a camera, and have a crap-tastic camera to boot.

I absolutely love that left hand rock jetting out to the right. The small valley in the middle gives it depth, and the right side builds up the tank without leaving it looking flat. If anything I would try to get that rear left side built up just a bit more, but as is I think is just a damn fine looking setup.

This is really going to make an impression when you plant it!

Hey guys, would really love some feedback on this setup, need to know if I am headed the right direction. I've never done a nature aquarium before...

Overall it looks very good, but there is one rock on the left that shouldn't be as vertical, it stands out too much.

Alright! I'll fix that up this weekend and take some updated pictures. When we gonna see some more pics of your Iwagumi (It is an awesome setup!)? How's the algae battle going?
