Talking 55g 'Hand-me-down' revival!

This is a project I started a VERY long time ago, literally, as a 11 year old child. This is the handmedown tank that started my obsession. (I'm proud to say I never went the clown puke path.) So after many long years of hopeful praying, algae scraping and piggybank smashing, I've decided to go 'high-tech'. So of course, the obvious conclusion: post it on the internet!

tank: ancient 55g Standard
stand: bricks and plywood, whoo hoo.
filtration: ancient marineland canister (rated 200 gph)
Upgrade to 2215 (ty ada!) + marineland HOT pro in the works!
co2: diy x2, diffusion via cannibalized fountain pump and canister
upgrade to full pressurized in progress! (aquatek ca reg+5lb+diy reactor)
substrate: aquariumplants.com stuff. (like sms, kinda.)
ferts: pmdd+po4 (making friends with the chem dept helps), flourish
lighting: current pc 130w (10000K) + 130w (actinics 50-50)
Once I patch the holes in my wallet, i'm going to get rid of those actinics.
Fauna: various bio class rejects: 2 pearl gouramis, ~10 otos, long fin leopard danio, 8 white clouds, lone koi angel, albino cory, y. sidthumunki, two spoiled female gups, aaand 5 bentos tetras.
Flora: lots-my species list expanded by 500% after I joined this forum! (thanks monkeyruler!)

It's literally taken me 6 years to accumulate all this stuff. And then I just spent upwards of 300 on co2, dry ferts, and filter upgrades in the last month. I don't even think I've spent that much in my life. They need to raise minimum wage... anyway.

And so the adventure begins.
