reefkprZ 125g: updated photos

been a while since I posted much on TPT. I have been fairly occupied with my job and some new hobbies. recently I did a trim on my tank and figured I could snap a few before and after photos.
I figure I should update some info about the tank as well. I am no longer running co2, after a pretty bad mishap that gassed a bunch of fish, you wont believe how it happened either as far as I can figure one of our cats was trying to move around behind the couch and stepped on the needle valve spinning the "easy turn" dial which cranked the BPM way high I got home from work to a bunch of dead gasping and swirling fishes. the risks out weight the benefit in this case. I dont mind slower plant growth since I still have to trim regularly or it gets over run. I am stilll running my home made stand on back filter along with a cascade cannister. no algae problems to speak of I go several weeks without cleaning my glass and only notice a slight haze. I reduced the amount of fertz I use when I ceased co2, but I still dry dose.

I think I may do a full on re-aquascape sometime soon to change it up a bit. I definitely need to remove some of my larger crypts and reduce the amount of hydro in my tank.

so here we go
this before picture shows 4 weeks without cleaning the glass as you can see its only slightly hazy

looks great still considering you are not running co2.

my next attempt at photo's i will probably use cardboard to sheild the light bleed out at the top of the tank. my camera is a pretty inexpensive one and the lens/filter (or whatever) seems prone to over adjusting to compensate for the extra light. I promise I will get some good photo's of it one of these years.
