Getting back in the game with another 29g

Well its been about a year since I had my last tank, got a killer deal on a 29 with a stand and figured what the heck, why not?! Ill try to keep a record of it on here, I am always open to suggestions and ideas. I will be trying to keep this one a little more simple then before, going to try avoiding the use of co2 this time, just doses of excel. Let me know what you guys think

oh yeah. I need ideas for center piece fish, Ive got a school of 20 cardinals now, but would like hear what you guys think I should add. Right now my thoughts are a pair of dwarf cichlids? Rams? maybe some angles? not really sure, having a hard time deciding....

Angels might eat the cardinals so i would choose rams as a center piece fish. Looking good so far.
