Here is the little one after receiving more healthy plants from forum members.

I also built the Grigg’s style reactors.

And a little framed cube to work on the real hard scale for the little tank.

very interesting build so far. I love the TPlink power outlet bar! I'm actually thinking of getting one myself. I saw them on Amazon for $15 off so waiting for that coupon to come back before pulling the trigger

Couple updates:

Trying some new ideas for the hard scape. Made a net bag with zip ties to hold lava rock to build some height. The two stumps were made with 2-3 pieces using SS screws and CA glue.

I’m hoping for a delivery with ground cover plants and some dragon stone tomorrow. Hope to get the stratum laid and this baby planted in the morning.

It’s full. The filter / reactor is still burping air. Kinda wished I’d added a bleed valve to the top of the reactor.

This side is still pretty open - have some dragon stones and more foreground plants that I am still waiting on from stupid Fedex.

I’m nervous about startup algae ruining these beautiful Anubias nana petites and bolbitis.

Anubias and Bolbitis are un killabe. They will be the first to get any kind of algae but they will be standing once the algae stage passes.

Did some more planting and rescaped the little tank.

I think the little tank CO2 levels were too low which caused an outbreak of green hair algae. I dipped the transplants in a RO / Excel bath.

Removed most of the Ludwigia and the super red and put into the 40B. Removed the giant driftwood and replaced with the little driftwood tree and dragon stone assembly I made. Back is Rotala and Rotala green. Bunch of Anubias nana petite and some random Buces that I got from a forum member. Also planted some DHC and monte carlo.

Here is a shot of the driftwood assembly and tank mock up

Against common sense / wisdom, I added 6 amanos to each tank to help with algae knowing they probably all wouldn’t make it. So far I can find a few in each tank but they are good hiders.

Also transported an Otto from the kids community tank to the ebi. He seems happy enough but would like to get him a friend. All the store seem to not be able to get ottos. Not sure if seasonal or Covid related.
