Fluval Flex 15G w/ Giant Betta

Decided to add some more gallons back into my life after seeing this betta. He was too large for my Fluval Spec V, so here is the new digs. There is a piece of mopani underneath all the anubias, been growing that piece since 2013. Doing another staurogyne repens carpet as I loved that on one of my older setups. The anubias has grown for 7 years with no ferts/no CO2 and just a few water changes for most of that time. Not planning on this being a 'no water change' tank.

Fluval Flex 15G
Fluval Stratum
Eheim 75w heater
Stock Fluval Flex light, have an 18" Current Satellite that can 'fit' but trying stock light out first
Fzone 'three stage' regulator w/ paintball tank

Anubias nana 'petite' on mopani (started from 5 rhizomes in 2013)
Staurogyne repens
Giant Betta
Three nerites

CO2 up and running. Aquario Neo diffuser making a very fine mist. Did paintball because academy is close for fills, but academy nor dicks sporting fill anymore apparently. Probably switch to a 2.5# in that case.

Planted some ludwigia super red a couple days ago, topped staurogyne growth and planted tops. Everything is growing well so far, even the ludwigia has new leaves.

Great Setup!

Do you ever find the filter outflow is too strong for your betta?

Growth has been nice. Ludwigia did not make it. I've turned the lights down a bit so the stauro does not grow as fast. I tend to stick with giant bettas, or plakats at a minimum, as they are more robust swimmers with less finnage to drag around so I don't have to baby water flow.

Betta somehow jumped through the top opening. Tank has now been converted to keeping PFR Cherry Shrimp.
