Yeah-- an update! Give Eleanor kisses for me. She is so sweet and an actual couch potato- lol!

The tanks are looking steller!
Love that tall variegated plant in the second tank towards the back. What is that? I hadn't noticed that before!

8-10 days without fertilizing has caused some minor headaches. Note to self, don't completely stop fertilizing because other things are going on in life!

I skip "a day or 2" all the time with no noticeable change, and though I'd never tried I didn't expect so much algae growth if I let my guard down for a bit. Guess I was wrong! PO4 and NO3 barely show -AFTER dosing. An old expired Sera kit says that iron is still good, and I don't have a test for K but have to assume the macros are what have been diminished.

Yeah, that lady is one of many carrying eggs and there are a few dozen new babies too. The temptation to overdose fertilizers when something like this happens is strong, but these are shrimp, not hardy fish and I have to inch it back to where it belongs. After I start getting there, may make a custom batch or two to hit the levels that are bottomed out most.

Feel like I must point out that the joke here (for anybody who hasn't been following along) is that @Discusluv gifted me those bloody mary shrimp with another purchase, the box tore open in shipping, they were all that made it to me of 3 kinds, THEN after all that I thought I'd killed them all with CO2, and a few popped back up and started having babies and now I have myself a colony starting -and am now offering to sell her some.
