Tessa's 66 gallon low tech community
After having a 33 gallon tank for five years I finally caved and got myself something bigger - a 66 gallon tank. Like my previous aquarium this one is also going to be a low tech planted tank meaning no CO2 and very little ferts. So, for the details...
Tank: 100x50x54cm (about 39x20x21 inches) Akvastabil Fusion with matching stand.
Light: Happet AquaLED 27W (way too bright so I will modify it to lower the intensity).
Filter: JBL CristalProfi E1502 canister and Eheim Skim350.
Inside: cheap fine sand, rocks from a local garden center, azalea root from LFS. Plain black background.
Plants: different anubias and java ferns, tiger val and red tiger lotus.
Fish: a herd of panda cories (20+), mix of orange rasboras, one really old otocinclus and few ramshorn snails.
It took two days to set it up since I had to move the old tank first. Still a bit cloudy, the plants need to grow in and there are visible zipties holding rocks to a piece of wood that refused to sink but it's a start. Here's a picture one day after start.
