What is the other gear, a filter? Maybe try a pair of MF10s, so you can make a symmetrical arrangement of filters and lights?

Top Fin shrimp-proof foam power-head filters. They are about the smallest you can find, and about $15 from PetSmart. They are my favorite small filters for my pico and nano tanks. I love them more than any other gear! I own eight of them.

I hate the Top Fin brand like poison but you have my attention! Are these smaller than the Sicce? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...6D4V4GO1&psc=1 If so, I might be buying a few.

Nothing good happens fast in an ecosystem.

I think they have improved quality control. They are hard to find or research online, but should be in stock at your local store. I have photos and videos in my tank journals. You could put a foam pre-filter on any power-head and it would be bigger and deeper.

I’d replace that big internal filter with little azoo mignon 60 HOB, be less in tank and it will hide just right back behind tall emergent grasses. Nice smoked clear plastic will fit right in with light hardware. Way easier to clean.

Yeah, Im thinking your right- an HOB may be better in this situation.

This is a great little filter though, its a Dennerle Corner Filter.

Another no background vote here. Really like the aquarium in the round concept. Also like the buce as is. And the rock layout is exceptional. And like the lights. Like it all and expect some shrimp will soon too. Do gotta think you could get away with a much, much smaller filter.

Bump: Doh - didn't realize there was an entire page seven devoted to filters. So basically I just agree with the gang.
