Betta and Friends (wild smaragdina, native shrimps, cherry barbs)
After almost 3 years of keeping one tank. I am now ready to for my 2nd one. (Yes it took me 2+ years!)
Rimless tank, 18 gal (but will only be filled with around 12gal water), 28"x14"x11"
5 Rasboras (undecided between Chili or Red-tailed)
3 Kuhli Loaches
and maybe some snails.
Planned scape: Only 2/3 of the tank will be filled with water. Sand substrate, botanicals, round stones (small to large), and a single driftwood that go above the water line -- finding the right wood will be a challenge.
Duckweeds and dward lettuce for surface cover.
Java ferns and Anubias attached to the wood right around the waterline, some barely submerged, most will be by the waterline, like in an immersed state.
One indoor houseplant that can survive with roots in the water (Haven't decided with this one.. maybe some type of terrestrial jungle fern or something..
