40 Gallon Rescape!

Bought a 40 Gallon on gumtree about 1 year ago and today i gave it a much required rescape!, The tank now has a focus of starting a large Blue Dream Shrimp colony.
Timeline of the tank:
When the tank was first started it featured Dwarf Hairgrass and Rotala Indica.

About 1 Month After that i added some reddish stem plant in the left corner.

2 Months after starting the tank growth was looking stunning but there was a lot of algae growing on the glass.

3 Months in the whole floor was basically carpeted with the dwarf hair grass and plant growth was looking the best it would be during this version of the tank. (sorry i didn't get the whole tank in the shot back then)

This was about 2 weeks ago, the tank had looked like this for a long time. The whole carpet had died off and the algae just kept coming back, plants were looking horrible so it was definitely time to do a rescape.

The tank completely cleaned and filter made baby shrimp proof.

10 Minutes after setup, Plants Include Red Lotus, Japan clover, Annubias, Monte Carlo and a tower of java moss I made. Substrate is just pool filter sand and there is root tabs and water column fert dosing (Flourish Excel). I also added in a sponge filter to add a place for the shrimp to graze on while adding extra filtration.

Will be providing updates along the way
