My First Terrarium "Patient Zero"

This is my first ever terrarium. I made it in an old 10 gallon aquarium that i cleaned out beforehand. I went for mostly cacti and succulents, but threw in a couple ferns for foliage and body. My main concern is the different watering needs of the ferns compared to everything else.

It's been about 6 days since i put this together, and several plants are already showing new growth, one fern, one cactus, and one succulent.

Im excited to see where this terrarium goes, and what i end up doing with it, and learning from it. Im also excited to see what ideas i get from this one to use in futu

So we're at the one week mark, and there's been lots of changes already.

I don't have all my plants identified though, so if any of you could help me out with that it would be greatly appreciated.

First things first. I actually hit one week yesterday, but I waited a day to make this post, and I'm glad I did, because over the past week one my cacti has grown a small flower and it opened up today. I have 3 pictures that span about 150 minutes and show it opening up. The rest of the pictures were all taken yesterday.

The palm fern and the sedum album are both doing great, the sedum is standing at attention pretty much, and the palm fern is thriving considering i seperated each individual stalk from the root ball.

The spiky cactus that looks like a sea urchin had a small pink flower when i got it, but it has since withered.

The foxtail fern has had the most change, with an entire stalk growing in the course of the last week but also had another stalk die. I was considering pruning it back some, but out of all my plants, the foxtail had the most serious root pruning, so i suppose a couple dead stalks is to be expected. I'm going to wait and see if any others die off before i start pruning.

Lastly is the little cactus that looks like shag carpet full of tumors. Over the past week it grew a small orange flower as well as buds for new little shag tumors. Today at 8 days in the tank, the little orange flower opendled up. The first picture was around 9am and the last was a little after 11am.

So that's gonna finish up this entry for now. Thanks for reading everyone.

P.s. if anyone can explain to me how to insert photos in my posts using imgur, that would be greatly appreciated lol

At the 1 month now. I've had a fatality. The dwarf baby tears I had in the front left corner has died off.

I'm also seeing what I believe to be acclimation damage mostly in the foxtail fern.

The shag carpet cactus has a ton of new growth, with new buds sprouting everywhere over it's surface, and it appears as if it will get at least 2 new flowers.

The coral carpet had a small stem die off as well.

The palm fern, however, is absolutely thriving.

Last, I got 2 small succulents, and I may add one or both of them. If I add one, which one would you pick?
