My 3g bowl

Setup my first planted "tank" in years this evening. Have been in the saltwater game for awhile and got the itch for a FW planted bowl. So here it is. Here is all of the pictures of the setup, miracle gro potting soil(5.-.75in) topped with Seachem Flourite Dark. Amazon Compacta and some red root floaters I picked up today at the lfs, more plants are arriving in the mail tomorrow. I may have gone a bit overboard on the plant order that is arriving tomorrow as this bowl has 2.5g of water in it, have room so I may add another quart to bring the water level up a little more.

Sifted the dirt and then added it to the bowl.

Capped with Seachem Flourite Dark.

Played with the placement of the driftwood and a couple rock pieces until I was happy, the driftwood has a nice natural cave and one of the rocks has a small cave that faces to the right.

Filled the bowl a little over halfway then planted the Amazon Compacta.

Finished filling the bowl and added the red root floaters

Well USPS was supposed to deliver an order of plants today that would fill up this bowl. Only problem is USPS delivered the package to the wrong address so tomorrow I get to try and sort this out with them and hopefully they are able to fix their screw up if not hopefully they reimburse me in a timely manner.

Fmgit the rest of my plants in and got them planted. Planting through the smaller opening of the bowl was a bit of a pain.
