So, from an earlier meet and greet post I said I'm back. Well, this whole LED system is so confusing compared to the old school (10 years ago) CFL watts/gallon approach.
Needless to say after reading through a bunch of stuff and not going too overboard on lighting I decided for a minimal medium light scape that allows for my travel flexibility.
Background is java windelow (sp?) on wood. Just to have a robust full effect. Medium is some standard stem plants (for nutrient balance), and mid/foreground is christmas moss mats. The glossy sucks--light just isn't strong enough, but I'll leave it as is.
Fish arrived today from LiveAquaria--Harlequins and some Pandas. Yeah I know I mixed Asia with South America--at least both like soft water. I've got 5 and 9 year old humans that want to add a betta, rainbows and an effetn unicorn to this too so I might as well roll with it.
Feedback is appreciated. Running some sort of amazon LED. 30 in breeder (special order crap). Eheim 2217 (might be overkill), CO2 injection via external reactor. PPS dosing for now until I adjust for fish food and poop. Glad I paid attention in chemistry and have a bio background
