This saltwater tank has been sitting empty for the past 8-10 years and decided it was finally time to use it again, as it's a major piece sitting in the corner of the living room. I'm trying to do this on a bit of a budget, so I'll be trying to use a lot of what I have in bins around the house. Everyday, with each addition to the tank brings changes.
Equipment I have:
90 gal Pentagon Starfire glass saltwater tank
Eheim 2215 canister filter
(1) 36" Truelumen 8000K Sun White light
(1) 48" Truelumen 8000k Sun White light
Misc plumbing fittings and rocks from previous tanks
The first thing I had to figure out was how to change the return spray bar into a drip rail. I wanted to use the center drilled holes to bring the water in, but needed the drip rail going both directions, so I am using garden hose fittings.
And this is my initial thoughts on the layout
And first try raising "islands"
Eggcrate islands were replaced with rock islands
