Swarley’s 60U Mountain Aquascape

Hey TPT friends,
I realized my other post was becoming more and more a journal and so I thought I should just make a post in the proper forum.

Here’s an update of the scape with added rubble. I think it adds to the sense of scale. Also gives extra detail where I wouldn’t really be planting because of the massive shading.

Hoping to get more feedback, especially critique, from everyone.

Very nice! If I was being picky I would be tempted to move a couple of the larger rubble bits from the front right to the left and a few smaller bits to the right. Looks like they are two different size groups instead of mixed. Very nice scale/details though.

I have a problem with criticizing it in any way, but you could spread this small rubble on the left a little bit more so it would reach the left glass panel. Maybe. Or not. Hard to tell without seeing the result.

Thanks. I actually had tried it just a little bit ago and it looked worse. It looked nicer the way it is in this photo. Probably won’t matter anyways since it’ll get covered up with plants most likely.

I looks great, love how it's well graded. Looking forward to see how this tank progresses.

Love it, I think the scale looks great! What will you be planting/stocking?

Stones are from my local shop in Minnesota, Aqua Gardens.

Graded? Do you mean like matching the stone textures?

Not sure yet on both. For livestock I’m leaning towards something more subtle like kubotai rasbkoras and chili rasboras. But not sure because plant list isn’t finalized. I’m in the planning stages for what kind of look I want to go. More minimalist or more colorful/exciting with stems.

Thanks for all your comments. I hope to fulfill all your expectations with this scape.

I meant how the substrate is lower in the front left corner and "grades" up to the rear right corner, and how the larger stone peaks seem to follow that pattern. It looks like it would be a good place to go hiking lol.
