My 9.1G shrimp tank

The goal here was to have a mossy sort of forest-like tank for my galaxy pinto low/mid grades but I ended up adding a few plants here and there to liven things up a bit. I kept it simple by attaching all plants and mosses to rocks. Being as this tank's water is soft and acidic, some species probably won't thrive. Having them attached to rocks is convenient in this case because I can just swap them out with something that may be better suited to my parameters. This tank is slooow tech and nothing special as far as specs go. A cheap Beamswork and dual AC 20's is about as fancy as it gets here. I'm keeping macro nutrients at very low levels (nitrate under 5 ppm at any given time). Tank has been running since mid May, so just over 2 months. Nerite snails were brought in to assist with algae removal a few weeks back. In a few more weeks, the shrimp will go in. Hopefully the plants will grow in and disguise the intake pipes some, as it's definitely an eyesore to me.

I am not an expert on planted tanks. But the only thing I wanted to say is a black background would help hide the sponge filters if you wanted to go that route.

Wanted to check out your build thread since you gave me such detailed advice on mine. Looking for any updates on this tank!
