Gunpla's ADA 60p first aquascape

Hello all and welcome to my little blog and zen spot.

Please feel free to comment on things that would look better in the layout.

This addiction all started with a sick betta and has progressed to falling in love with aquascaping, hours of reading and irritating the wife.

Specs are
ADA 60p
Frosted back with frosted vinyl
Aquarium glass 20gal base modded with 1" MDS on top and approx 12 L brackets inside as added support...yes overkill but will never fall apart lol and because on carpet is mounted to wall with 6 butterfly drywall anchors rated 175#
Finnex 24" 2x24w with moonlight
Eheim 2215
Hydor 200w inline heater
Amazonia 6L
Powersand special S 2L
Fine black sand 2L
Bacter100
Superclear
White sand
Seiryu Stone
Yamaya Stone
Chinese Zebra Rock
Manzanita
Glass pipes
DIY CO2 with glassware

Plants
Dwarf grass
Dwarf Baby Tears
Xmas moss
Weaping moss
Java moss
Flame moss
Pella
and more lol

Plans are Cherry shrimp, endlers, and guppys "wife kinda has say in this"

im waiting on wood to arrive and some more plants but i started scaping last nite and sorry if pics bad, taken with phone but its better than my camera
sat like this for month before even took straps off

powersand layout

This was what i came up with for hard scape

And this was 5 min later lol

i actually really like it. I think you have to go with a plant like HC which is so small that it will give the tank a feel of a much bigger tank and almost mimic an open meadow with a pathway to nowhere. looks awesome! good luck

Yes I have to agree, it is really nice. I like the fact that you didn't keep the sand so clean. Makes it look a bit more natural. Good Luck. Subscribed.

super nice hardscape but dont put any larger plants in the tank so that the rocks aren't hidden.

Well after few hours and a super bowl heres what we got, still have taller plants that will go against back wall

Half filled for tonite, as you can see kinda hodge podge of plants, flame moss in the cracks of rocks, that little grass i had spread around all the hc i had...need to get more.
the left side of the tank has some grass and roots from hc that i got from someone that the leaves were all black but roots look good so im hoping but pretty much blank till i get my wood from here.
i used oliver knotts technique to fill and worked very well, no lifting and no clouding. will get filter set on after work monday and some more plants put in.

looks like the white sand got everywhere but thats all air bubbles"thank god lol"

I always enjoy seeing one of these scapes.
Delicate work to keep everthing in place.
My brute force methods would make this hard to do until it was mature.

Looks great! Can't wait to see it progress!

But it looks like you mixed the HC and DHG together? If that's the case, your DHG is going to take over, and you won't see any of your HC.

Thanks Guys

not much progress, have my little internal fluval filter from ebi running packed with ammonia reducer, and dosing with ferts
received 5# of small Ryuoh stone today and waiting for rest of co2 system to arrive and the tree for the left side and a ton of other low plants.

i have 2L of small sifted AZ to put over top of everything when done.

AFA has all the stones and if you call them you can request what size you need, they are very nice.
