28g Bowfront Log

Going to be keeping a log of my freshly restored tank. I think I am going to be naming this tank "The Phoenix" because it has risen from the ashes. I am currently using up my supply of Liquid Micro and Flourish Iron.. I plan switching over to dry fertilizer in 2 weeks... This tank currently has diy CO2.. I plan on injecting it with CO2 within 2 months time..

Current setup: 28g bowfront "The Phoenix"
DIY CO2
2x24w T5HO Aquaticlife fixture 4 inches above substrate

"The Phoenix" 02/02/2011

Edit: Sorry for the technical difficulties

You need a backer all that hardware is really ugly. I can see this tank becoming very nice if it can grow in a little thicker. How quikly are your plants growing?

Try cleaning the glass before you take pictures. Also, if you turn out the lights and turn off your cameras flash you can get better colors, you may end up with a bit of over exposure but the end result my still be better. You'll need to rest the camera on something to avoid blurriness.

Definitely make the switch to pressurized co2 ASAP. I battled algae outbreaks routinely using DIY because of the inconsistent co2 levels. I bought one of jaggedfury's paintball setups for $30, bought a 20 oz tank for $20 and I couldn't be happier with it.

I'm sure this will look awesome when the plants fill in. Now the waiting begins.

Great advice! I can't believe the difference in my tank since I went pressure. Not that it will completely eliminate all issues but it sure has helped.
