Rod 10G 45 X 30X 27cm Iwagumi style tank

After reading up a bit, experiment a bit, i got in love with Iwagumi designed tank. So got myself a small 10gallon tank, 45cm X 30cm X 27cm tank and started on it. As i'm still new and pretty lazy on a lot of test, hope my tank can survive.

My kit

Hardware
Normal 5mm thickness 45cm x 30cm x 27cm tank
Ista 88g Co2 kit
Eheim 2211 canister filter
Chihiros A series A1451 45cm LED light
2 fans

Base
ADA Amazonia powder soil
ADA Bacter ball (i crushed it before placing to bottom, no other additives used)
Canister contents - Seachem Purigen , Carbon, bio balls

Plants
Tropica 1-2 grow Micranthemum 'Monte Carlo'
Tripica 1-2 grow Eleocharis acicularis

Great looking hardscape, and nice plant choice. One day I think I'll get my 29 turned over to this style. I think the biggest setback for me is paying for rocks! But those look great!

Love your large focal rock, it has a nice shape and alot of character to it. Might want to pull some of the more buried rocks up a little, they are going to become hard to see once your plants grow in.

Oh.. thanks for the advice... but i sort of not wanting to disturb the ground now... not sure if it's due to the waterflow, although it doesn't disturb the soil, everyday i'd have like 1 Monte carlo somehow uproot and float around. Guess i didn' plant in deep enough the 1st time.

After 1 week of setup

1 week after setup. Looks fine to me.

CO2 supply, 1-3 bubble per sec
Dose of Seachem Excel and Flourish once every 2 days
Lightning on for 10-12 hours a day.
Water change 40% every 2 days.

I can see pearling happening, maybe slight overdose of my CO2 as i didn't measure etc but looks ok to me.
Hopefully the Monte carlo and Hairgrass will cover more of my ground in another week and tank will still be stable as i mention. i did not do any PH , KH, CO2 test etc.

Day 16th

Changed a few items

- Default Eheim 2211 outlet to Viv lily outlet and inlet
- Dafult ISTA difuser to dymax stainless steel one.
- Added 10 shrimp last night (Sakura shrimp) i was told.

Starting seeing small strains of hair alage. Will be cutting down to light duration to see if it improved while manually removing it.
