PrairieShadow's Planted Tank

Here is my new 40 gal long planted community tank. It has been setup for about a month now. Just have a few plants ... already forgotten what they are.

Filtration: canester filter as well as a Fluval 2 Plus submersable filter
Lighting: T5 bulb, but getting a couple LED pannels.
Substraight: Larger Gravel

Fish: Neons, Platty, Red Shark, Pleco, Alge Eater and Discus

Comments and suggestions welcome, enjoy.

With that substrate you are limited to what you can grow. You definitely need root tabs under the red plants. Suggest API from LNT, for they don't charge for shipping. You could get some sagittaria subulata and some wisteria.

Nice tank - from these pic angles I can't tell if your tank is positioned against a wall if it is i would add some sort of a background to hide all of you chords.
