Taking a crack at 12g long

Fairly new to planted tanks, so trying to keep this simple, both aesthetically and maintenance-wise. I'm pleased how it turned out so far, the pictures are two days after planting the HC. The tank is set up on a counter so that both sides are viewable.

In terms of light/CO2/ferts, I have the Fluval 3.0 light set at ~40% for ~11 hours and ~2bps CO2 during lights on (drop checker green). 1/8 tsp KNO3 + 1/32 tsp KH2PO4 (Macros) every other day and 1/32 tsp CSM+B (Micros) on the other days. 50% water changes each week? I'm new to this whole balancing act so I'm a little worried that I'll run into an algae or dead plant problem. Any tips?

A dozen CPD and RCS should be arriving this next week. Unsure about adding a snail or oto. Also considering adding some mid-height/leafier plants in the large rock cluster.

Nice tank. How does your GLA Inline Atomic CO2 Diffuser work?
Could you show it through pictures? Thank you.

So far happy with the diffuser, it mists a bunch of micro bubbles into the aquarium that can be somewhat distracting though. I don't have pictures with the CO2 on currently. It makes a slight hiss up close, but I'm not able to detect any leaks from running soapy water over it so I'm convinced that it's just the sound of the CO2 passing through the internal stone into the water. It also sometimes fills with water when the CO2 is off, so I oriented the CO2 tube up with an additional check valve just in case. The diffuser doesn't have a built in check valve.

I love not having the tank crowded with things.. heater, diffuser. A smaller drop checker would be nice, or the kind that hangs off the side.

The check valve up top is just tied to the green filter tube for now to prevent kinks. Ignore all the cords.. I need a cabinet or something to put all this in.
