This was the tank just setup with a couple different plants.

I am not planning on keeping the a. densa, just temporary as I was using it to help a recent algae prob.

excuse the pic it was day time and I had my L room light on. I think I will take a better one tonight.

Plants so far are, rotala indica, stargrass, crypts, lotus, L. repens, A. reineckii, A. densa, glosso, and some new H. difformis that is still in it's emersed state.

55 gal., 2-4xodno t8 6500k, xp2, pressurized co2 with diy reactor for now(need to hide it) or go inline.

no3=5-7
po4=.5-.75
kh=7
ph=6.8-7.0

Every plant seems to be doing well for now but not sure if I like the scape.
Maybe It needs to grow out more.

Looks great! I particularly like the stargrass and the way it appears to be climbing up a slope on the left. How often are you trimming that plant?

Hey bellisb925, Thanks the stargrass started out with just 8 stems. I transplanted it to the right side. I have thrown out quite abit. I trim it every week or 2. It grows the fastest out of all of them, and seems to be pretty hardy. I would like to try other plants but were I live in Louisiana the few pet stores seem to only keep a small selection.

A plant order from online stores kind of gets expensive when you order 3 or 4 different plants species for 15 or 20 dollars and pay 28.00 shipping.

Thanks BlueRam, I had the 55 for about 4 years, but this is the first time planting it.

I definitely can see where a 75 with it extra depth would make for a better aquascape.

Don't really have room for midground plants.

Guess I have to make do with what I have for now.

I'm guessing you aren't quite as new to the hobby itself, eh?

Plants are gone, but my 33gal and I are back after a long hiatus.

You might want to try some sort of a background to hide the wires and equipment that are behind your tank.

There is a background black must be reflection. I am planning on a inline reactor, so internal will be gone. I had it behind the rolata but it wasn't circulating through the tank very well.

How long does it take for wisteria to convert from immersed growth to submersed growth?
