10g Nano, Low light Hi tech

Hi, all.
My name is Bel. This is my latest attempt at a planted tank. It started life as a sparsely planted crypt only tank. But decided to beef it up a bit today, and was fortunate enough to find some cut price plants that fitted the bill. I'm not very good at hardscape placement, so I'm not really pleased with that aspect of it, but feel free to advise and/or criticize.
It needs at least 6 weeks to settle then pruning then another month to mature.
10g
950lph external with cal aqua lilly pipes.
Lighting, 1x11W Energy saving daylight bulb duration 6 hours.
Dosing ei with Fe Co2
Flora, Glossostigma elatinoides, Micranthemum umbrosum, Cryptocoryne albida, Cryptocoryne undulata.
Fauna, White cloud mountain minnows.
Substrate, Mix of fine gravel, sand, Manado, Laterite.

This was from a week ago:

This is today:

Thanks.

Looks good. Is that a de-rimmed standard 10 gallon tank? Looks like the rim is still on the bottom.

Thankyou Cottagewitch
GitMoe, The tank has a base but its not been tampered with.
Cottagewitch, Just looked at your journal did you get the co2 up and running? Any success?

Here is the same tank from early 2010. In its various Incarnations.

Thanks, bel

All of this tank's incarnations have been beautiful!!!! As for my co2, it's up and running and doing beautifully. The stoppers on the glass bottles works perfectly.

One week in, all is well, fingers crossed! Starting to see some growth from the Glosso and the M umbrosum is starting to get some backbone. A few problems still with the cryptocoryne albida. The odd melted leaf, that sort of thing. Ive had these varieties for about 3 months now and they never really have taken off so well. If necesary i will replace them with something else. Thinking E tennelus, what do you think? The undulata is recovering from its pruning with no sign of melt.

Here is the latest pic,

thanks

Thanks weluvbettas!
I took it off UKAPS, best place for good info though.
I started this on the 11- 12th of jan so its not going too badly at the moment. Just proves you dont need high light.
This was from today, 22 jan.
My photography is terrible.

Will need to prune the glosso soon but prefer to let it root for a bit first so will leave alone for another few days.
The idea is to have a set time frame, so i'll try to post an update pic once a week on tuesday preferably cos thats when it started. It all ends come what may on the 5th of april 2011. (12 weeks total)
thanks
bel

Have increased light to 15W 6500K lo energy bulb, a mighty increase of 4Watts. Ok it doesn't sound like a lot but I'm convinced that its more than sufficient for now. I will have to increase the lighting again but it will have to wait for another couple of weeks or so. I prefer slow increments of light untill everything is established and acclimitized to co2 levels. However, maximum light on this tank will be 20W which is the last change.
Had to prune the glosso today, best not to let new growth get too leggy, but I wasnt expecting such rapid growth this time round. Last time I grew glosso I was using 5 times more light.
