new year new tank!

So I had a little extra Christmas money and decided its a new time for a new tank. To fill the space I wanted the only choice was a 20 gallon tall. I've seen the general concencus on the forum and aquascaping community is that these are a pain to aquascape.... Seeing as I've always been up for a challenge this only added to my decision. Going for a bit of a jungle theme and I think its headed in the right direction. I'd love some suggestions for plant placement/new plants to fill it in.

Lighting: 2x27 watt compact flourescent directly on top(enough light?)
Substrate: Mixture of Seachem Flourite Red and EcoComplete
Plants: Anachris
Green and Red Wendtii
Crypts (forget exactly what kind)
HC
Dwarf Hairgrass (placed along base of tree stump)
Java Fern
Java Moss
DIY CO2 injection and plan on dosing ferts (any suggestions for dosing?)

I'd also really like some fish suggestions that would go well with the jungle theme/tank design I am working with. I was thinking rams originally, but maybe also some small schooling fish of some sort. Oto Cats or small Plecos? Catfish of some sort? Thanks guys and can't wait for some suggestions!

I would definately spread the HC out more so it will cover more quickly. Also you can spread the moss over the wood out more too. It looks like it will be coming together nicely.

Yea I was kinda thinking the same thing with the HC... Just didn't feel like taking the time to do it on initial setup. I ran into a very frustrating problem (which could have been avoided) the first time around and had to remove the wood and start over planting... not gonna go into it to save myself the embarrasment but let's just say I didn't feel like spending another hour planting small stems haha. As for the moss I think I'm gonna leave it spaced for now as I like the partial covering and don't know if I really want full coverage... for now at least.

Thanks for the good words so far!... found the stump in my backyard Haha one of the perks of living in auburn AL I guess. What does everyone think about fish options? And do I have enough lighting for my HC to grow well?
