Just ordered (N) Potassium Nitrate KN03, (P) Monopotassium Phosphate KH2P04, and (K) Potassium Sulphate K2S04. Looking to do the attached EI Dosing Schedule for a 29 gallon tank. I'm hoping this will help my growth a little better. Any input on the EI Dosing Schedule?

Well it's time to keep the updates coming. I now have a pressurized CO2 setup going and will get my dry ferts Monday or Tuesday. Here's how it's starting off as of today.

how are you diffusing the co2?

you might be overdosing the fertilizer if co2 is not good in that tank, that is why your HC isn't growing either.

I am using a Hagen Elite In Tank Filter to diffuse the co2. So far with the EI Dosing, it appears that everything is growing better. My HC has bigger leaves and my other plants are growing about .5"-1" a night. So far I'm loving this. I will post more pics when I get a chance.

Well I guess it was just the first night of it at least. I got a little excited. Growth now is around .25"-.5" with my rotala at least. My HC is begining to fill in and the leaves are a lot bigger than what they used to be. The brown spots on them are starting to go away and it's almost all green.

I also bought 5 Cherry Shrimp last night and 2 Nerite snails. I'll post some pictures up of them and the tank growth this weekend.

Question:

With my Rotala in the right hand side, the stems and leaves are very "dirty" looking. Almost like they have algea growing on them just ever so slightly. Should I trim everything down and get rid of the bottoms and just replant the tops and let it all grow back or is this normal?

^^^ nice setup ,in the pics in third post how come the plants on the left side of the pic looks more green than on right ?
Also from where did you get the fertz ?

Lighting:
2x Coralife T5 Freshwater Light Fixtures w/Coralife 18w 6500K Bulbs & the standard T8 fixture with a 15w Bulb.

If i get this correct, you have got 2x 18watt 6500K bulbs + 2x15w bulb ??
Thats too much light, main source for alge growth , to avoid alage there has to be a balance between light, co2 and fetrz , once you get that right ,the tank becomes algae free

Thanks! The plants on the left side are Corkscrew Val and the plants on the right are Rotala. That would be the difference in colors.

The lighting is 2 18 watt bulbs and 1 15 watt blub totaling 51 watts or 1.76 WPG.

Well it's been a week with ferts and pressurized CO2 and so far so good. I picked up a couple more plants this weekend and re-arranged the tank a little bit. I added Red Ludwigia and my wife wanted some, what she thought was Frill, but actually was something else that I later found out. Anyways just in case it doesn't grow in her 55 gallon tank then I have some in this tank. Any ideas? It's the dark green in the back right. I just can't think of it off the top of my head. Thanks for looking!

So...My algae on the glass is getting a little crazy. I have to clean the glass every week. I have 2 nerite snails in there currently and have an outbreak of at least 50 snails growing in my substrate. Should I let the snails go or should I put my loach back into the tank to take control of the snails again?

What are the plants that you have mostly in the foreground? It looks kinda like Blyxa Japonica?
