Weeping moss
Red crypts (lol)

Anyway, this was a very fast tank build, as in we bought everything in about 30 minutes including the fish. Yes everything that I’ve learned about this hobby says patience and planning is best. Well I didn’t follow anything I promised to do for my tank. Luckily this is not “my” tank. ( :

Sorry I was in a rush and I had no time to take photos in the process.

Hope you like it!

That's a pretty killer piece of wood. I think it would look awesome as an anubias, fern, Buce scape.. maybe some needle leaf java fern at the base on one side... some anubias on the other lower side of the wood and buces and anubias nana on some branches... then leave a more open area with crypt Parva on the other end??? That's a nice piece of wood. I would want to accentuate it as much as possible.

Now this is funny..
I just mentioned to someone that it bugs me when lights don't fit the tank i.e 4' on 6' tanks and I see this.. Just screaming for a potted plant next to it..

Well guess one should never say never...

I agree, really nice piece of wood. If it were me, I'd get it deeper into that left back corner, build some rocks up around it, fill crevices with small plants - HC, S. repens, some moss, anubias etc. and move the Crypts into the back corner or place them right up against the wood in front at the stump. Moss up those branches a little. Leave the sand bare and get some Corys...I love Corys haha.

Lol, your vision is one in one with mine. Unfortunate enough I wasn’t In charge of everything with this scape. I was in charge of hardscape, and substrate but other than that my mom was the one picking to place stuff places. She sat from afar and not picked what I did lol. I think I’m going to add some Co2 to this tank for maybe 1 month and let it fill out a while then put it back on my 120-p.
I’m still convincing my mother to get Cory’s, I think I’m just gonna get some put them in, if she doesn’t like them that have a larger home to go to. (: I think we are going mostly low tech with this though, low maintenance, no HC ):

I was thinking the same, the dwarf gourami wasn’t my idea (I like home though) I was thinking embers, Cory’s and shrimp. Maybe an Oscar or two as well jk

lol, same

The only lights I have are 4fts ):

Anyway, their is a chihiros a-series on the way they look very nice and are very powerful, but essence this is a low tech scape (for now) it also has the ability to go from 1-10 power modes.

Thanks, I love the wood as well. I think I’m going to saw some of the back off to make it slightly less bulky. It took some effort to put this baby in this tank, their are 5 points were the wood is touching the side glass. Right now there is Anubis, ferns and weeping moss (won’t grow down in low tech) and it will probrably be accompanied by the buce in the 120-P pretty soon.

Ps: Forgot to add that I’m still trying to source needle and trident java fern. I would also like a certain Pygmy variety forgot the specific name.
