Hello! I wanted to rescape my old aquarium so I decided to make a beach aquascape. Before i start im going to give you some more information about my aquarium.
Tank Size: 10 gallon rimless
Lighting: 18 watt led light 30 whites, 4blues, 2 reds
Substrate: Ada Amazonia mixed with Fluval Stratum, Ultra Life Sand
Plants: Bacopa Carolina, Horn wort, Ludwiga red, Java fern, Corkscrew Val, Drawf Hairgrass, Java moss, Cryptoconyne, Duckweed.
Filter: Eheim 2213 Classic Canister filter
Hardscape: Dragon stone (Ohko stone)
I started out by removing everything from my old tank and cleaning it up. Then I started to get a ruff idea of the hardscape. After that I added the substrate. I had about 2l of ADA Amazonia left so that's why I bought some fluval stratum to add to the tank. Then I washes some sand that I bought from my LFS. Added it all in. Then I added about 30% water. Now comes the annoying part, planting... I added all the foreground plants which was very easy. Then came the corkscrew val. It was all bunched together so it had the runner line that made it impossible to plant without the roots rotting or out of the soil. So I had to cut all the runners to there own stem. That made planting it a bit more easy. The rest of the plants were all easy to plant besides the bacopa Carolina. What is annoying me now is that the soil is leaving this muddy dust everywhere in the tank. I'm also sorry for the blurry photo. I will also be doing a weekly update on this tank. Sorry if my English is bad. Here is the photos of the tank. If you have any nice comments or criticism feel free to say it. Enjoy
Also can someone help me about my upside down pictures? Thanks.
