10 Gallon Tank of Awesomeness

Well...Here it is.

(11/23/10) - Started:

Going to unload the (now realized crap-tacular BiUbe) after Christmas and fully invest in this tank. Will probably start out with DIY CO2 and upgrade to pressurized at some point.

Tank:
- Marina 10 Gallon Deluxe

Lighting:
- Sun-Glo 14W Fluorescent

Filter:
- Slim Power S15

Flora:
- Water Sprite
- Java Moss
- Crypt Wendtii (I think)

Fauna:
- None Currently (will cycle with current livestock: Endler and Sparkling Gouramis)

Substrate:
- Fluorite Black

CO2:
- DIY (Sugar, Yeast, Water)

Ferts:
- 1 ml Flourish weekly

Heater:
- Tetra 50W (fixed at 78F)

I am still waiting for the water to clear up from the Fluorite before I put any fish in there. Would water changes eliminate some of the dust/debris?

Would love plant/CO2 suggestions and any other thoughts and comments.

Added DIY CO2 today

DIY 2L coke bottle into 20 oz. coke bottle bubble counter. Injected directly into power filter intake.

Don't have any CO2 yet (only started about an hour ago), but will be anxious to see if the thing even gets running!

That is one cool piece of driftwood!

Water changes would help with the cloudiness.

I know! Thank you! I saw that at my LFS and was already picturing in my mind where I wanted it, and what I was going to put on it. I was carrying that thing around the store like I was protecting a Black Friday Deal...

HAHA that's awesome.

You need some more plants in there! Do you have any plans for what you're going to add next?

Not sure.
I'll probably move the crypt from the back left to the left front corner (there's a slight gap in the corner between the moss carpet and the glass).

I'd really like suggestions for a low/mid light plant that will fill out the back nicely. A few Swords or some java ferns. What I'm going for is a java moss lawn on the left front with all the other features on the right. Will tie down more moss to the DW, possibly some Fissidens too. I think my LFS is going to love me tomorrow with all the crap I'm gonna buy.

Will always take suggestions.
Could possibly be upgrading to T5HO in the near future.

The seal to the DIY CO2 broke tonight so none of it was making it to the tank. Currently have the air pump running at night to dissipate the CO2.

Sunset hygro looks nice in any tank, and grows like a weed.
Pogostemon erectus will do well in most tanks.
Rotala rotundifolia is an easy plant.
Blyxa japonica is pretty easy.

Those are my suggestions.

Moving Day

Tank seemed to be ok on param's, so I moved everyone (except the Oto) to the new tank. Moved the airtube from the side of the tank to the back, hoping for it to get covered up once the plants fill in. Anyway, onto the pics!

(Sorry for the crappy photography...)

I haven't moved the oto yet simply because I can't net him...any tips?

I think they'll be happy in their new home!
